Our Favorite Fall Wedding Trends

The temp is dropping, the leaves are changing, and candy is discounted on November 1. Over here, we LOVE fall- especially fall weddings. (I don’t what season y’all are, but I’m an autumn!) No sweating, your specialty cocktails can be warm beverages, and pumpkin is in everything. In honor of our favorite season, we’ve recapped some of our favorite fall trends from our client’s weddings below:

COLOR PALETTE

Perhaps an obvious inclusion but the warmth in this color pallet is one of the reasons so many gravitate to autumn for their nuptials. Pair the warm colors with farm tables (or a full barn!) and you’ve got a cozy wedding, no matter the guest size. (Fun Fact: It was torrentially downpouring at Rachel and Ray’s wedding pictured below- but you’d never know! It was so cozy!)

LONG SLEEVE DRESSES

When you’re not having to combat toasty climates, you’re able to embrace the glamor of long sleeves! Whether you’re wanting to keep it modest for your church ceremony or you want to show off your rocking back tattoo- long sleeves are an A+ in our book every time. (Fun fact: Natalie’s long sleeves (bottom left below) were removable! A great choice for when you’re ready to really flap those wings on the dancefloor).

JEWEL TONE SUITS

We ALWAYS encourage color and fall’s jewel tones are ACHING to be put on your body, men. I mean, it’s your ding dang wedding. Go big. And even better… make it velvet.

PUT A SHRUG ON IT!

Stylish and practical CAN go together! We LOVE when our clients add a layer of warmth for their wedding day. Whether it’s faux fur, faux leather, (or please bring me a cape!), add an extra layer to make those outdoor photos more tolerable!

NATURE EVERYWHERE

Twigs, berries, gourds, or foliage or festive fruit- Mother Nature is a welcomed guest at your reception. Bring her in, bring your guests to her, just soak it all up. She’s showing up to your wedding and you don’t even have to pay for her meal!
