Our Favorite Winter Wedding Trends

Updated Jan 2023

It’s cold, it’s grey, you’ve got post-holiday bloat and there is a potential for snow. WHY NOT GET MARRIED!

Winter (defined in the industry as January-March) is really the most underrated wedding season of all seasons. While the weather might not be the prettiest, if you’re planning for an indoor wedding anyway, go ahead and get married while your guests are available and the venue rates are “Off-Peak”! So with that inspiration motivating you, here are some of our most favorite winter wedding trends from our previous weddings. Go ahead! Get married in February!

GORGEOUS INDOOR VENUES

Let’s be real. We all hate sweating in the summer and we all hate freezing in the winter. So by choosing a venue with a stunning interior, you and your guests can fully enjoy the natural beauty of the space, all while staying warm! You might get a discounted venue and you don’t have to worry about the chance of rain.

OUTERWEAR

Even if your wedding is inside, you might want to venture out for some pictures- so give yourself the excuse to buy that DOPE piece you’ve been eyeing! You can allocate it to the wedding budget!

INTEGRATE THE HOLIDAYS

You’ve already got the decor- especially those twinkle lights, so go ahead and integrate the holidays into your wedding! Everyone is sick of cookie swaps at that season anyway, let’s give them a wedding!

EMBRACE THE MOODY, DARK, AND ROMANTIC

Dark and romantic wedding themes thrive in a winter color palate. With dark reds and greens, deep purples and oranges, and of course black and gray. Add in tons candles and twinkling lights and you’ve got all the winter moody goodness!
